The Midnight Possum
Possum loved the deep dark.
But when Moon rose high in the sky,
he loved midnight even more.
At midnight, Possum went travelling.
Have you ever wondered about the possum noises you hear as they bound, zip, scratch, flit and call in the night?
One night the midnight possum meets a mother who has lost her baby and so he bravely climbs down a chimney, into a house guarded by a dog and a cat, to find the little lost possum.
Sally Morgan's The Midnight Possum takes viewers on a journey through the branches, swaying treetops, rooftops and and houses inhabited by some local possums and is a tale of adventure and bravery with a delightfully Australian flavour.
The collage-style illustrations by Jess Racklyeft are a beautiful accompaniment to this sweet story, read by actor Miah Madden.
