In response to the needs of our valued customers, StoryBox Hub is thrilled to announce the integration of SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication for whole School subscriptions and Academic subscribers. This highly requested feature streamlines access to our platform, providing convenience for both students and staff.

Simplified Access:

Gone are the days of juggling multiple login credentials. With SSO, students and staff can log in to StoryBox Hub using their usual school username and password. This eliminates the need to remember yet another set of login details, streamlining the login process and saving valuable time.

Additional Reporting & Controls:

  • Beyond simplifying access, SSO allows Account Holders gain access to valuable statistics, including insights into user engagement.
  • Users logging in via SSO can manage their personal playlists and customise preferences such as caption settings and playlist looping behaviour.
  • We understand the importance of seamless integration within your institution's existing infrastructure. That's why we provide a direct link to your organisation's StoryBox Hub SSO login page, ensuring a smooth and cohesive user experience.

Additional Information to Note:

While the benefits of SSO are abundant, it's essential to note a few considerations:

  • SSO users will not have visibility into playlists created by Account Holders or those using Viewer username/password, although access to these playlists remains available if needed.
  • The Account Holder setting for preventing Viewers from renaming or deleting playlists does not apply to SSO users.
  • Currently, SSO functionality is not available within the StoryBox app. However, an upcoming update will address this limitation, extending the convenience of SSO across all platforms.
