Rudd is a street muralist, street sculptor, creative interventionist, cartoonist, social justice activist and painter. He has exhibited his art widely around Australia and has defended his art from censorship on several occasions. His visual art has been shortlisted for a number of prizes including the Metro Art Prize (2004) and the Sunshine Coast Art Prize (2007, 2009) and he received the people's choice award in the Free West Papua Sampari Art Exhibition (2015) for his sculpture Let Unity and Love Take Form. He recently illustrated his first children's picture book The Patchwork Bike, written by acclaimed author Maxine Beneba Clarke, and the book has since been shortlisted in both the 2017 CBCA and Crichton Awards.
