The Hush Treasure Book
Welcome to the world of HUSH... a world of magic, wonder and mystery.
Created for the Hush Music Foundation by thirty children's book writers and illustrators, this book is a treasure trove that will delight and entertain the whole family.
Hush is Australia's charity for bringing together music and medicine to bring peace and hope to patients and their families. The Hush Treasure Book is a collection of short stories and illustrations by creators from all around Australia who have been inspired by the Hush vision of better patient care.
Some stories are truly moving... others just plain silly! All have been written to bring calm and joy to sick children and their families going through difficult times.
This first selection of stories is introduced by Lior Attar (singer-songwriter) and Edgar (songwriter), both of whom collaborated on music for The Hush Treasure Book and includes:
Oliver's Town by Nick Bland read by Mike McLeish
Ward by Shaun Tan read by Chloe Xanthopoulos
The Best Horse of All by Julie Vivas & Margaret Wild read by Fiona Harris
The Elephant Bird by Tohby Riddle read by Finn McLeish
Story Box Library was approached to by the Hush Music Foundation to be part of their endeavours and it has been an honour to bring these stories to life with the help of our wonderful storytellers.
