Sally Rippin has used Chinese chops in her artwork, which are stamps that feature Chinese symbols or script. Sally’s chops featured the Chinese name for each Zodiac animal. What you need: Polystyrene blocks/sheets Pencil Cookie cutters Ink pad or paint and paint roller Paper Cut the polystyrene into tiles. Use the pencil to inscribe words or to create pictures into the polystyrene ● Cookie cutters can be pressed into the polystyrene to create shapes or borders ● When you have finished creating your design, press it onto an ink pad (or roll paint over the design) and stamp it onto paper N.B. Older children might like to create chops using real linoleum and cutting blades
