Parachute - Activity Time

Make a Toy Parachute

What you need:

• Toy figurine (small and light toys work best)

• Large freezer bag (or plastic shopping bag)

• Hole punch

• String

• Scissors
  ● Punch a hole into each corner of the freezer bag.

  ● Cut four even lengths of string, and tie these through the holes in the four corners of the freezer bag.
  ● Tie the loose ends of string to the toy figurine.
  ● Enjoy playing with your parachute:

• Try throwing it into the air.

• Try dropping it from various heights.

• Compare the time it takes for the toy to drop to the ground with and without the parachute.
