Sarah Allen

Sarah Allen is an illustrator and visual artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Over the past six years, Sarah's work has been commissioned for children’s picture books, activity books, postage stamps, greeting cards, stationery, apps, calendars and murals. 

Sarah’s first author-illustrated nature picture book, Busy Beaks, was published by Affirm Press in September 2020. Busy Beaks is on the shortlist for the Children’s Book Council of Australia, Book of the Year - Early Childhood 2021. Sarah is currently working on her second book with Affirm Press, due for publication in late 2021.

Sarah enjoys creating work that explores flora, fauna, fungi and environmental themes, with a special focus on Australian species. Through her bright, colourful books and artwork, she hopes to foster a connection to nature.
