Discussion Questions
PRE-VIDEO:
- Have you ever created a story and shared it with your friends or family? What kind of story was it? How did you make it? How did you share it with them?
- Do you know what a ‘zine’ is? What do you think it might be?
- The word ‘zine’ comes from the word ‘magazine’ – what do you think a zine might be now?
POST VIDEO:
- Aśka and Campbell showed examples of the different kinds of zines that they have made. Do you remember what some of those were?
- Campbell and Aśka talked about how zines are personal, and reflect the personality and interests of their creators.
- What do you think they mean by this?
- What sort of ‘personal’ things might YOU like to use if you were going to create a zine?
- Aśka showed us a simple way of making a zine. What do you remember about the instructions she gave?
