LTI set up steps for Schoolbox

Schoolbox Administrator Setup

1. In Schoolbox, click on your profile image and choose Administration.
2. Click on LMS then LTI Tools.
3. Click the '+' icon.
4. Fill in the fields as shown below:
5. LTI Tool Identity:
   • Name: StoryBox Hub
   • Version 1.3
6. Tool Configuration:
   • OpenID Connect Initiation URL: https://storyboxhub.com/lti/launch
   • Launch URL: https://storyboxhub.com/lti/launch
   • Deep Linking URL: https://storyboxhub.com/lti/launch
   • JSON Web Key Set URL: https://storyboxhub.com/lti/jwks
   • Availability: Check both options
   • Target: Choose "New tab / window" if you want a button that takes the user to the relevant section of the StoryBox Hub website, or "Iframe" if you want to embed it. (You can try each and see which you prefer.)
7. Click Create Tool.
8. You will need the Schoolbox Instance Details for the next step - you might have to reopen/expand the tool you just created to see these.

Add your LMS the StoryBox Admin Settings

1. Log in to your StoryBox Account Settings as the Account Holder. NOTE: it might be best to complete the StoryBox Admin set up in a different browser instance to avoid session conflict with Schoolbox.
2. Scroll down to Other Account Actions on the right hand side and click Learning Management System (LMS) setup. (If you don't see this option it means your current subscription does not include our LTI integration. Please contact our sales team for package options.)
3. Update these settings:
   • Platform ID: Issuer from the Schoolbox Instance Details
   • Client ID: Client/Deployment ID from the Schoobox Instance Details
   • Deployment ID: Client/Deployment ID from the Schoolbox Instance Details
   • Authentication request URL/endpoint: OpenID Connect Authentication URL from the Schoolbox Instance Details
   • Access Token URL/endpoint: oAuth Access Token URL from the Schoolbox Instance Details
   • Public Keyset URL/endpoint: JSON Web key Set URL from the Schoolbox Instance Details
4. Click Update to save.

Embed StoryBox content in SchoolBox

1. Click the '+' button at the top of your page.
2. Choose Multimedia.
3. Choose Embed Learning Tool.
4. Choose Storybox (Basic Launch) for a button that will launch StoryBox from SchoolBox with the teacher/student automatically logged in. Choose Storybox (Picker) for a component where you can select a specific story to embed on the page. Remember that in your SchoolBox LTI Tools settings how these appear on the page will depend on whether "New tab / window" or "Iframe" is saved for the Target option.
5. If you selected Basic Launch, no further steps are required.  If you selected the Picker, click the "Select content to embed" button in your new component.
6. You'll be taken to the StoryBox website. Search or browse for a story, mouse over the cover, and click the LINK button.
7. You'll be brought back to SchoolBox, where the selected story will now be embedded in the component.
