How do I log in as a public library patron?

If your local public library subscribes to StoryBox Hub, you can create a free account for personal use using your library card number. How you log in varies slightly depending on how your library's account is set up, but the steps are very similar:

1. Go to our Library login page or tap "Log in with library access" in our app.
2. Find your public library or local council in the dropdown menu.
3. When you find their name, select it.
4. If you see both barcode and PIN/password fields, enter the same details you use to access your library catalogue:

   Or, if you just see a barcode field, enter your library barcode number, click log in, then confirm your details on the next page. You will only need to do this once - the next time you log in you'll only need to enter your library barcode and the password you chose during registration:

5. Once you’re logged in you can access stories via our website or app, create personalised playlists and select your own account preferences.

The StoryBox app is available for mobiles and tablets from both the Apple and Google Play stores.

It requires an internet connection and active subscription via your library card in order to be able to watch our stories from within the app.
