Join our Reading Challenge - We Love Libraries!
31 Aug 2022
Supporting libraries and library staff everywhere, and the important work they do in community building, creating inclusive spaces and getting people of all ages excited about reading and learning, we’ve developed a new Reading Challenge: We Love Libraries! Alongside our Librarian Storyteller of the Year initiative, Story Box Library is celebrating the magical power of storytelling and the people who facilitate that for readers young and old.
Find the We Love Libraries! playlist on your Story Box Library account dashboard to get started, or explore Reading Challenge instructions and resources below.
Encourage young kids to get inspired by storytelling and creativity at the library, by participating in the Story Box Library Reading Challenge in four steps:
Watch the story read.
Learn more with Short Films.
Play with Activity Time.
Borrow and discover more!
Download the pack of resources for our We Love Libraries! Reading Challenge here, including a checklist to keep track, fridge cards, bookmarks and certificate of completion.

Ideal for preschool or lower primary ages, Activity Time also promotes an active and balanced lifestyle for young children. Find Activity Time instructions via the ‘Activities’ tab on each story page, or explore a selection below.
4. Borrow and discover more!
Story Box Library connects educators, librarians and families with a world of stories by extending your physical collection, getting young readers excited about reading and making learning fun. After watching the stories in our We Love Libraries! collection, young readers can borrow the books at their public library or school library, and leave a bookmark review for the next borrower to discover!
The Librarian Storyteller of the Year initiative returns in 2022! With an all-star judging panel and fantastic prizes up for grabs, we encourage all librarians and library staff with a story to tell to enter. Librarian Storyteller of the Year 2022 launches late September 2022.
