We’re thrilled to announce that we have been named as a Victorian State Finalist in the Telstra Business of the Year Awards 2025! And the icing on the cake? We’ve been recognised in TWO categories – Building Communities: for businesses making a positive impact on culture and society, and Embracing Innovation: for businesses innovating with technology to develop solutions for challenges faced by modern Australia. We couldn’t be prouder to be chosen from a giant pool of 22,000 entries nationwide, and to be recognised among the best and most innovative businesses in the country.

From our humble beginnings, StoryBox Hub has grown to become Australia’s most celebrated digital literacy resource for every child, with a vision grounded in a simple but profound belief: stories connect us. Stories shape how we understand ourselves and others; they foster empathy, and strengthen the bonds between individuals, families, and communities. From our earliest days, we’ve worked to ensure that every child in Australia – no matter their postcode, background, or ability – can experience the transformative power of storytelling.

Now, StoryBox Hub is used in over 30% of Australian primary schools, approximately 80% of public libraries nationwide, a growing community of Early Learning centres, as well as schools, literacy programs and institutions in more than 30 countries. We’ve shared over 600 stories from Australia’s best children’s creators, read by an amazing, diverse cast of local storytellers, and over 2 million of these stories are accessed on our platform every year. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and excited for what’s next!

Telstra Best of Business Awards were created to celebrate Australia's best small and medium-sized businesses, and as a small but mighty team, this recognition means so much to us. The State Winners will be announced October 3rd and will go on to represent Victoria on the national stage.
