Our StoryBox Hub tech wizards have been working very hard behind the scenes – we’ve listened to your feedback, and are delighted to announce an all new, improved, and better than ever app experience. With our new StoryBox app, stories are now even easier to access, no matter where you are or where you’re going!

A safe, ad-free experience for kids

The new app features a straightforward, child-friendly interface, free of ads, pop-ups and distractions. Educators, parents and caregivers can feel confident allowing children to explore the app and discover stories independently.

Reliable access for library patrons

For library users, the app is now much easier to navigate, with a smoother, more consistent user experience. The app now features a search function and filter so that users can quickly find their library when logging in with a library barcode, and we have included a bug fix that allows patrons to stay logged in once they have signed in with their details. Seamless SSO for schools & tertiary organisations

For schools and tertiary accounts with SAML SSO configured, Single Sign-on is now fully supported in the app too, making sign-in easier for all configured institutions. Contact your organisation for your login details to use either on the website or in the app. 

Downloading the new app

Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play store to find the new app. And if you have already tried a previous version of the app, updating to the latest version is easy:

For iOS (in the Apple App Store)

1.    Open the App Store on your phone or tablet.

2.    Tap your profile icon (top right).

3.    Scroll down to Available Updates or Upcoming Automatic Updates.

4.    Find the StoryBox app, and tap Update. (Or, tap Update All.)

For Android (in the Google Play Store)

1.    Open the Google Play Store on your phone or tablet.

2.    Tap your profile icon (top right).

3.    Tap Manage apps & device.

4.    Under Updates available, tap See details.

5.    Find the StoryBox, and tap Update. (Or, tap Update all.)

* Note: Depending on the Play Store version, you might find this under "My apps & games" instead of "Manage apps & device."
